The City of Markham has one of the most diverse populations in Canada and a fast-developing urban environment. As part of the City's emerging public art program, Becoming Public Art aims to develop resources for those interested in the practice of contemporary public art.

In this Zoom discussion with architect James Khamsi and fabricators Stefan Pilipa and Stephen Richards, Marman and Borins discuss how to establish a collaborative process between the artist, architect, and fabricator, with a shared view to outcome. They also examine the role that collaboration plays in facilitating complexity, and how to push the boundaries of what is possible from a design, engineering, and art-meaning perspective.

The conversation, called Collaborative Process, will be held on Tuesday, October 20th, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm EST. Admission is free but registration is required.
