Culture aficionados, there’s much to do this season.
This spring, the Sharjah Art Foundation is making sure your weekends are booked and busy with a fresh slate of activities worth making plans for.
Major exhibitions with new commissions are taking place at Sharjah’s Al Mureijah Square, along with the return of the March Meeting, which is totally free and open to the public at Al Qasimiyah School. Expect a continuation of its artistic exchange and collaboration with the international arts community.
What should be on your agenda? Find out below.
The exhibition kicked off with Jorge Tacla’s massive showcase, Time, the destroyer is time the preserver, which is available to see at Gallery 1, 2 and 3 until Sunday June 7.
Tacla doesn’t do things in small measures; he’s filled the space with over 170 works. His paintings look at ruins, architecture and the messy bits of history left behind after conflict.
