Independent 20th Century, the art fair dedicated to spotlighting art made between 1900 and 2000, has named the 30 exhibitors that will participate in its upcoming fourth edition, scheduled to run September 4–7 at Casa Cipriani in the Battery Maritime Building.
The majority of the fair will focus on single-artist presentations, primarily by spotlighting underknown figures active during the 20th century. [...] Running alongside the much-larger Armory Show at the Javits Center, Independent 20th Century will also include a number of presentations of well-known figures, like a two-artist booth for Picasso and Munch at John Szoke Gallery, as well as Judy Pfaff at Cristin Tierney Gallery, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov at Galerie Brigitte Schenk, and Leonor Fini at Weinstein Gallery.
