BOMB Magazine was launched in 1981 to publish conversations that reflected the way artists spoke about their work among themselves. As a result, BOMB reinvented the interview as a dialogue between artists about the creative process. Today, BOMB is a multi-platform publishing house that produces and disseminates artist-generated content through BOMB Magazine, BOMB Daily, and the Oral History Project, a series chronicling the lives and work of African Diasporic visual artists from New York, Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans…. All of BOMB’s published content—44 years of the artist’s voice— is available free–a history of our culture by the people who make it— on www.bombmagazine.org to almost one million worldwide readers.
