Tim Youd, the artist featured in the new Emory Libraries exhibition Striking Characters: Typewriters, Literary Worlds, and the Art of Tim Youd, will be the guest in a lively conversation with curators Shanna Early and Hannah Griggs. The event will be followed by a guided tour of the exhibition. Youd creates art by using vintage typewriters to retype classic or relevant novels or typescripts in their significant locations, such as The Wiz and Dracula; original materials from the Rose Library collections related to both are on display.
