Grand Re-Opening at 219 Bowery with peter campus: shinnecock bay

Cristin Tierney Gallery is pleased to present shinnecock bay, an exhibition of two video works by peter campus. shinnecock bay commences with a brunch reception on Friday, March 8th, from 10:00 am to noon, before the Armory Show opens for the day. This is the inaugural exhibition in the gallery’s new space at 219 Bowery, Floor 2.

peter campus: video ergo sum at The Bronx Museum of the Arts

Cristin Tierney Gallery is pleased to announce peter campus: video ergo sum at The Bronx Museum of the Arts. Open from March 6 through July 22, 2019, this exhibition presents select works from campus’ career, dating 1971 to present. It is the first survey of campus’ work in the United States, organized by the Jeu de Paume, Paris and curated by Anne-Marie Duguet.

peter campus: single-channel videos at The Armory Show

Cristin Tierney Gallery is pleased to be presenting at The Armory Show 2019. Visit us in booth #827 to see an installation of single-channel videos by peter campus. The works, which span 2011 to 2014, are abstract, brilliantly hued interpretations of eastern US coastlines and seascapes. On Sunday, March 10th, at 3:00 pm, campus will have a discussion at the fair about his career and the evolution of time-based media with Dr. Tina Rivers Ryan, Assistant Curator at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.

peter campus: Head of a Sad Young Woman for Times Square Arts' Midnight Moment

From March 1st through the 31st, campus’ 1976-77 video Head of a Sad Young Woman will screen nightly in Times Square as part of Times Square Arts’ Midnight Moment program in March. Midnight Moment is the world’s largest, longest-running digital art exhibition, synchronized nightly on electronic billboards throughout Times Square.
